Rocky River City School District commissioned Stantec to design and engineer facility improvements for the Rocky River High School, Goldwood Elementary School, Kensington Elementary School, and Beach School.

The centerpiece of this $42 million district wide project is a major expansion renovation of the Rocky River High School. The 1960s building is undergoing a major renovation plus several additions to house new science, music, administrative, and athletic spaces.  The key element of the design is the conversion of a previously enclosed and underutilized exterior courtyard into a student commons that activates and energizes the heart of the building into a highly collaborative space linking the media center, cafeteria and guidance offices.

Prior to this commission, Stantec provided pre-design services including a master plan study, participation in community engagements, and Bond Campaign assistance.
