Stantec was commissioned to provide planning and programming services for a new academic complex for Monmouth College, a private, four-year liberal arts school.
The building will be home to the college’s science, business, and mathematics programs. The goal of the project is to create a teaching and research facility that fosters interdepartmental collaboration, particularly in the areas of business and science. The Political Economy and Commerce Departments will partner with the Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Psychology Departments.
The new complex will be sited on a prominent campus location, providing the college with an invaluable recruiting tool. It will provide much needed classroom and laboratory space, and allow previously occupied space to be converted for other uses, including faculty and staff offices and student organization space. The design of the building will blend with the existing Federal-style architecture of the campus and the original quadrangle dating back to the 1800s.
