The two-story school, co-funded by the Ohio Schools Facilities Commission, is designed for LEED Silver Certification with building features such as enhanced daylighting and high-efficiency HVAC and lighting systems.
Although all four new buildings share the same program, each is designed individually to address the site and the community in which it resides. The new Chardon Hills building will be constructed on the same site as the existing Chardon Hills Elementary, which will remain operational until construction is complete. The existing building will then be demolished to make way for playfields and parking.
The project was designed in association with Lesko Architecture.
